Nathan Mattison

Nathan was born in raised on a farm outside of Salina, Kansas.  He attended the University of Kansas for his undergraduate degree, double majoring in political science and American Studies in 2000.  After his undergraduate degree, Nathan worked as an aide on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C. for Senator John McCain from 2000 to 2004 and in 2003 began attending evening law school at Catholic University Law School (Washington, D.C.) while continuing his work on Capitol Hill.  In 2004, Nathan moved to Denver and transferred to the Sturm College of Law at the University of Denver as a full-time student. In 2006 Nathan obtained his law degree from DU law, finishing in the top third of his graduating class.

 

Biography Background

After law school, Nathan served as a Federal Law Clerk for The Honorable Wesley E. Brown in the District Court of Kansas in Wichita and later as a rotating federal law clerk for the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Colorado in Denver. After his Federal Clerkships, Nathan worked at a general practice law firm in the Denver Metro area handling all aspects of Criminal, Civil and Domestic legal representation. In 2014, Nathan returned to Kansas and began working exclusively in the field of personal injury and plaintiff’s civil litigation, serving clients throughout the state of Kansas.

In early 2018 Nathan began working in the litigation department at The Law Offices of Dianne Sawaya Law Firm where he handles all aspects of injury litigation.  Nathan is a graduate of the National Institute of Trial Advocacy (NITA) Trial Advocacy Program as well as a member of the Kansas and Colorado Trial Lawyers Association.  Nathan has significant experience in Federal and State Courts of Kansas and Colorado and has his law license in both Kansas and Colorado.  Nathan has been responsible for collecting millions of dollars for his injured clients over his years of practice. In his personal life, Nathan is an avid KU sports fan and married with 2 young children.
