How We Negotiate Your Auto Accident Settlement

May 7, 2012 by Dianne Sawaya Leave a Comment

At that point the insurance company usually will lowball a counteroffer and try to avoid paying you what you deserve. Sometimes they’ll say you’re partly to blame for the accident and your injuries. Or they’ll say you had preexisting medical conditions just like injuries you suffered in the car accident.

Then the negotiations begin. Your Denver car accident attorney will have asked you for authority to settle your case for a certain amount of money. While that amount can change during the negotiating process, it is an amount that we both agree is fair and reasonable. We provide the insurance company with medical records, police reports and more to demonstrate why your case is worth what we’re asking. After a lot of back-and-forth, we come to an agreement.

Or not. If we can’t agree, then the client has the option of filing a lawsuit against the at-fault party. That doesn’t happen often, though. We’re skilled negotiators and pride ourselves on being able to arrange a settlement that meets or exceeds the dollar amount you agree to.

If you’ve been hurt in an accident, give me a call at (303) 758-4777, email me at DLS@dlslawfirm.com or visit our website at www.dlslawfirm.com for more information. Let’s talk about your case. There’s no cost or obligation.

We’ll help you get the money you and your family deserve for the injuries you’ve suffered. And remember: If we take your case, we don’t get paid unless you get paid.
