Home > FAQ > Who pays the medical bills after a car accident?
Experienced Personal Injury Lawyers
The answer to this depends mostly on the type of insurance coverage that you have. If you have medical payments coverage (“med-pay”) on your auto insurance policy, it will pay for your medical treatment up to the limits of the coverage. If you don’t have med-pay coverage or you use up what you have, your health insurance may cover some or all of your medical bills—although the health insurance company likely will ask the auto insurer to reimburse them from your settlement what the health insurer paid for your medical bills.
If you don’t have medical payments coverage or health insurance, this is not the end of the road. The Law Offices of Dianne L.
