There was a great story on the radio this morning about a topic that a Denver personal injury attorney like me thinks is vitally important – texting while driving. It’s a stupid practice that can, and does, get people hurt. And it’s all so unnecessary.

Now there’s a public service video out on YouTube, part of AT&T’s “It Can Wait” campaign, and was created in collaboration with Verizon, Sprint and T-Mobile. It brings home in a raw, emotional way why drivers must not text while they drive. It’s just not worth the risk of carnage that it can cause.

The video is called From One Second to the Next. It was created by a world-renowned documentary filmmaker. At 35 minutes it’s long, but it’s striking a chord – it’s gotten more than 1.6 million views already and it’s only been up a short time.

It’s worth a watch. I’d recommend taking a look at it. Share it with your kids – and kids, share it with your parents! Adults can be as guilty of texting as anyone.
