Principle Attorney
Let me give you an example. I had a client recently who was injured in a car accident, but not seriously enough – he thought – to need an attorney. He was certain he could handle his own case. The at-fault driver’s insurance company generously offered to pay all of my client’s medical bills and throw in an extra $1,000 or so for good measure. He wasn’t a client at the time, but came to me to see what I thought of the offer.

We talked for a bit, and I asked him how he was feeling after his car accident injuries and if he was done with his medical treatment. He said he was fine except for the headaches and always forgetting things, and he wondered if the insurance company would pay for his psychiatric medicines.

What?

I dug a little deeper and discovered that he had hit his head on the steering wheel and likely had a traumatic brain injury. He was nowhere done with medical treatment, and definitely not ready to settle. He became my client, and we got him the treatment he needed and negotiated a nice settlement.
