Principle Attorney
You can bet that insurance companies are checking you out on Facebook and Google, trying to dig up dirt on you so they can use it against you. Photos, jokes or things you write in a kidding manner, things others say about you or events you’ve participated in, and especially YouTube videos you may post – insurance companies will use anything they can get their hands on to try to discredit you. Their goal is to get out of paying you what you’re entitled to.

Here’s what I tell all my clients: I can’t protect you from what you post online. Do not discuss any aspect of your case online – whether on Facebook, Twitter or even email. Don’t post anything that you wouldn’t want the world or an insurance adjuster to see, particularly anything about your case. Remember: Big Insurance is watching, and what you post can and will be used against you.

Our Denver personal injury lawyers have developed a list of tips for protecting your privacy on the Internet and do’s-and-don’ts for using social media during your case. Give us a call and we’ll be happy to tell you more about it.

Most of all, be careful out there. Insurance companies may want to “friend” you, but they are NOT your friend. Insurance companies that stoop to tactics like that are why you need us.

If you’ve been in an accident, you need an attorney who will get you the money you’re entitled to. Give me a call at (303) 758-4777, email me at DLS@dlslawfirm.com or visit our website at www.dlslawfirm.com for more information.

Let’s talk about your case. There’s no cost or obligation. We’ll help you get the money you and your family deserve for the injuries you’ve suffered. And remember: If we take your case, we don’t get paid unless you get paid.
