To that end, we educate our staff frequently about changes in the law. That includes attending regular professional seminars on specific personal injury topics, as well as more general meetings and conferences. We stay on top of every personal injury lawsuit that goes to trial anywhere in Colorado, and we know the judges, mediators and arbitrators who work in the field. We also regularly hold two kinds of seminars with medical providers. One is to give our attorneys, paralegals and other support staff continuing education to help them understand our clients injuries. The other is to educate providers on what the Law Offices of Dianne Sawaya does, the technology we use to help us work, and how providers can help us best help our clients.
We also think it’s important to educate our youth about what we do and the importance of helping others. For example, Madison (12 years old) joined us at the office for a week and was able to shadow not only the attorneys, but the paralegals and other staff members. She learned about what we do for our clients, how a law practice works and also how individuals work together for a common goal. She was very excited to be apart of the team for a week and was welcome by all. Who knows, maybe she’ll choose the field of personal injury law for her career!
